Secrets about APS factory – Susan Reviews on Replica Watches
In my previous article from late last year, I discussed the strong partnership between ZF and APS. Today, I’ll share more fascinating insights about APS factory’s operations and history.
Did you know about BF factory? When their AP ROO Diver 15710 and 15720 debuted in 2021, many assumed BF was new to the market. In reality, BF predates APS by over five years. Interestingly, the factories share family ties – their owners are cousins, and BF actually introduced APS to the replica watch industry.
The ZF-APS relationship remains exceptionally strong. When APS first entered the market, most replicas used basic Asia clone ETA movements. APS prioritized movement development from the outset, collaborating with traditional Chinese movement manufacturers. Their first breakthrough came with the Portuguese 7 Days Power Reserve. Early models with outdated movements appeared awkward, but their collaboration with a Dandong movement factory yielded dramatic improvements.
APS initially supplied their new 52010 movement exclusively to ZF. However, after realizing limited profitability in movement sales alone, APS began producing complete watches under the “AZ” brand (sometimes called AZF), using their proprietary movements while maintaining their APS identity.
The IW52010 clone marked APS’s first major success. Inspired by Noob’s Dandong 4130, APS developed two significant movements in 2020: the JL925 for Jaeger LeCoultre Moonphase and JL938 for Reserve De Marche. These were initially supplied to YL factory before APS incorporated them into their own AZ-branded watches, later distributing to ZF and GF.
APS’s movement portfolio expanded further with the 3120 (originally developed by JF, then improved by a Shanghai factory) for Royal Oak 15400 models. After securing all 3120 inventory, APS shared limited quantities with ZF. Their Shanghai partnership yielded the 4302 movement now used in Royal Oak 15500 by both factories. Currently, APS’s most impressive achievement may be their stable 5134 movement for Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar 26574, which outperforms BBR’s recent offerings.
