Gold Factory Replica Rolex GMT-Master II with Increased Weight – Susan Reviews on Replica Watches
Do I recommend these GMT-Master replica Rolex watches from Gold Factory? No, I don’t. For better quality, choose the standard weight versions from Clean Factory.
Gold Factory is a relatively new player in the replica watch market, having operated for less than two years. They initially gained attention with their heavier YachtMaster replicas last year before disappearing from promotions until recently releasing these GMT-Master II models. The collection includes five variations: 126710BLRO, 126719BLRO, 126718GRNR, 126715CHNR, and a meteorite dial version that’s currently popular. While Gold Factory boasts about their “improved” heavier weight – with the Pepsi GMT weighing 195.6g compared to Clean’s 147g – this weight increase likely doesn’t come from genuine precious metals as claimed. Their promise of non-fading gold plating also seems dubious given their short track record.
Upon inspection, I found Gold Factory artificially increased weight by adding extra links to the bracelets – about two more links on each end. Similar to QF’s approach with their Le Mans Daytona (where added links increased weight by 6.34g), this makes the bracelet unnecessarily long for average wrist sizes. The case and case back have also been significantly weighted.
The advantages of Gold Factory’s V2 GMT Master II replicas include:
- V3 ceramic bezel (same as Clean Factory)
- Improved case and back finishing
- Deeper, clearer lug engravings
- Closer weight to genuine Rolex watches
However, significant shortcomings remain:
- Overpriced compared to competitors
- Excessively long bracelet unsuitable for normal wrists
- Noticeable color differences in gold models
