Several weeks ago, Z factory unveiled their replica version of the newly released Rolex Daytona 126500 model. While these replicas attempt to mimic the 2023 Daytona update, they significantly differ from genuine 126500 watches. The black and white versions may resemble the previous 116500 model, but fail to accurately reproduce the newer design’s distinctive features.
Although constructed with decent materials including 904L stainless steel, sapphire crystal, and Shanghai 4130 movement, these replicas exhibit multiple obvious flaws. The case shape appears incorrect, particularly around the lugs, while the subdials maintain the wrong proportions – retaining the larger size of the 116500 model rather than adopting the thinner dimensions of the genuine 126500. Even the hour markers show inaccuracies, making these replicas easily identifiable to knowledgeable enthusiasts.
Z factory’s rushed release appears motivated by financial pressures. While they’ve produced quality replicas of IWC, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe models in the past, their current profitable offerings face stiff competition from APS and 3K factory. This Daytona release represents their latest attempt to break into the competitive Rolex replica market, following previous unsuccessful ventures with Submariner and Daytona models.
Collectors seeking accurate reproductions would be wise to wait, as industry experts anticipate superior 126500 replicas from Clean or BT factory within the next six months. These manufacturers have consistently delivered higher quality “super clone” watches that better replicate genuine timepieces.
