Many enthusiasts of vintage Rolex replicas follow my blog, particularly after my reviews of popular models like the Daytona Paul Newman and Submariner. While many seek high-end “super clones,” the market currently offers only mid-quality vintage Rolex replicas, primarily from BP factory and some unknown sources. True super clones of vintage Rolexes are exceptionally rare, with the Daytona Paul Newman being the most accurate I’ve encountered. Some vintage Submariner and GMT-Master models also show decent resemblance to genuine pieces.
This particular Rolex Explorer 16570 replica comes from BP, one of the longest-standing manufacturers in the replica watch industry with over two decades of experience. While BP specializes in low to mid-range quality replicas, their catalog is extensive, covering nearly every Rolex model. The Explorer 16570 features 316L stainless steel (not the premium 904L), with a brushed case featuring polished edges. The slightly raised crystal sits above a 24-hour marked bezel, and the screw-down crown remains well-protected by its guards.
The case back displays a blue “A仿” sticker, commonly seen on mid-tier replicas as “A+” or “AAA.” Contrary to what some believe, these markings don’t indicate top quality – in fact, the best super clones from leading factories like Clean, ZF, and VS typically omit such labels. In my assessment, “AAA” simply denotes the better options within the mid-quality range.
Powering this replica is an Asia clone 2836 automatic movement, one of the earliest and most basic movements used in replicas. Modern super clones have largely moved on to superior Japan Miyota 9015 and Dandong movements. While functional, this Explorer 16570 lacks the authentic vintage character found in other vintage Rolex replicas.
